What does democracy have to do with sustainability?
History has proven that without a democratic (of the people, by the
people, for the people) sort of government, the people (or person) who
consider themselves to be in power will sooner or later start creating
laws and/or enforcing existing laws in a way that provides short term
benefit for them at the expense of the long term survival of the rest
of the populace.
Long term survival of the populace (and all its interdependent
species and geologic structures) is what sustainability is all about.
Democracy depends on:
[Sustainability]
[Caring]
[Information]
[Action]
[Foresight]
[Democracy]
